Mr. Potato Head

Mr. Potato Head makes for an excellent children’s ministry resource! After establish the rules, you can use Mr. Potato Head to enforce them. Tell the students that whenever they don’t follow the rules, Mr. Potato Head loses one of his pieces. If Mr. Potato Head is still missing a piece by the end of club, the kids don’t get any candy (or another incentive of your choice). If they do lose a piece, they can earn the piece back by following the rules. Optionally, you can pick one piece to be a warning. The first time they get too unruly, take that warning piece. If that piece is missing by the end, they can still get candy. If kids start to get unruly rather than yelling, sometimes all you need to do is point, wave your hand over, or hold Mr. Potato Head as a reminder to quiet down.
