Our Beliefs

Read CEF’s Statement of Faith

– That all Scripture is given by inspiration of God.

– That the Godhead eternally exists in the three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

– In the personality and deity of Jesus Christ.

– In the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit .

– In the real and personal existence of other spiritual beings, known to us as angels.

– In the real and personal existence of Satan and his minion of fallen angels.

– That man was created in the image of God, but is depraved by the fall of Adam, the first man.

– That Jesus Christ is the sufficient and necessary propitiation for man’s sin.

– In the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ.

– That redemption is secured by faith alone.

– That the church of Christ is composed of all those who truly believe on Jesus Christ as Savior.

– That all believers in Jesus are called to a life separate from worldly and sinful practices.

– In the evangelizing of the world.

– In the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

– That the souls of those who trust in Jesus for salvation pass immediately into His presence upon death.

– That the souls of those who have rejected Jesus’s offer of salvation will, upon death, remain in misery until the final judgement at the Great White throne.
