How to Write a Support Letter
Information on how to write a support letter and a sample support letter is available by clicking the button below to download the instructions. Let us know if you feel you need further help. Send us a draft before sending anything out to friends and family. Once we have proofread and approved your support letter, you should send it out to people you know.
Camp Information
Camp Good News Info
Pre-training and Training is held at Camp Good News in Afton and summer missionaries can spend a week of the summer there if they would like to. The camp is located at 554 Tracy Road, Afton, NY 13730. If you have questions about the camp, contact us or the camp director, Charles Brett: cjbrett@tds.net
Training Helps
Prior to training camp, a wordless book evaluation must be passed, certain verses must be memorized and recited, and study questions must be completed. We will provide you with everything you need to succeed. You can view the wordless book demonstration online by clicking the link below. This will help you practice for your evaluation.
During and after training camp, after being trained to either tell a missionary story or teach a Bible lesson, summer missionaries will practice these and then be evaluated by staff to make sure they are doing it correctly. CEF has demonstrations of their lessons, stories, and songs on the Children’s Ministry Institute website, which we highly recommend the summer missionaries take advantage of while practicing and learning these lessons themselves.
